This week was busy for me.
Along side my rec staff job, I COed in 10-13s and on the other side of the cabin was one of my good friends, Holly, so we were able to hang out a little more while the girls sleep and we take a breather.
I also got to do kids camp hour which we had averaging 14 kids each day, and lots of target sport along with rock wall and high ropes. During one on ones with my cabin, I had a girl come to me and wanted to understand who God is and what he had done for us.
I was able to lead her through the gospel and she accepted the Lord that day. The next day though, the devil just took a strike at me and just kept pelting me, which is not fun. It’s even worse when your exhausted.
Satan trying to over power me and get me down was hard to fight and My strength was wearing thin. Thankfully though, God provides rest and strong friendships to lean on when trials come. It has been a hard week for me emotionally and spiritually.
Prayers for strength to finish strong. As the end of summer nears and exhaustion has hit, One song that is stuck in my mind is, Boldly I approach by Rend Collective. “By grace alone somehow I stand.
Where even angels fear to tread. Invited by redeeming love. Before the throne of God above. He pulls me close with nail-scarred hands. Into His everlasting arms. When condemnation grips my heart.
And satan tempts me to despair. I hear the voice that scatters fear. The Great I Am The Lord is here. Oh praise the One who fights for me. And shields my soul eternally. Boldly I approach your throne. Blameless now I’m running home.
By your blood I come. Welcomed as your own. Into the arms of majesty.” This summer, I have also gotten back into piano and have been playing for the chapel service during the week. I was able to play all this week and that has been wonderful.
It’s relaxing and it’s fun to do something that your love. This mornings since it was my day off and I had nothing better to do, I played and played. I cannot wait for fall to start to increase my knowledge.
Strength emotionally, physically and spiritually
May your day sparkle,
